Bigyan natin ng benefit of the doubt, baka naman me potential din pala.

Haha sayang to si Saguitan.

break time:

Eto ang mga nagaganap na kwentuhan sa gameface.ph, sa loob to ng Ateneo thread posted by joescoundrel, November 10, 2011.

"Before this turns into a "We-Don't-Really-Care-About-Lasalle-But-We'll-Keep-Posting-About-Lasalle-Anyway" thread, allow me to try and turn things toward a guy who might become the next great UE superstar.

In the Sinag-Cobra game, I don't think I mentioned how Roi Sumang practically shredded every guard that Coach Black sicced on him. Eman couldn't stop him. Chris Tiu couldn't stop him. RR Garcia couldn't stop him. Sumang cut up the defense with his dribble-drive at will. He had a couple of early offense straight-up lay-ins / tap ring against a much taller and longer Nico Salva and Chris Ellis. His jumpshot has improved tremendously. His speed on the fastbreak is the same speed he has in the halfcourt on his dribble-drive. And he just plays hard and doesn't get into pissing contests or other shit with opposing players.

John Noble has also improved tremendously. He hit a couple of crucial fade-away jumpshots that kept Smart Sinag at bay. He is moving much better without the ball, and also defending better with his feet and getting better position for rebounds. By all accounts UE under Jerry Codinera seems to be getting its act together. I would not be surprised if they will no longer be punchlines come Season 75"

"^ UE could. They already beat Lasalle in the second round this season. UE will have a better roster across the board next season, and even if they get Jeron Teng, Lasalle will still have the same roster with a new coach at that. So yeah, UE could conceivably push ahead of Lasalle in the final standings."

Tis one came from Easter from same thread, November 10,2011 @ gameface.ph

"In the 2nd round of the UAAP one could already see some signs that Sumang's game will turn out scary someday and we might see it sooner than later. This is a player to watch in Season 75. His game is no joke"

To be honest, my excitement bubble for Sumang popped the wrong way last year. Its like, he underachieved. I dunno if its just me, or its his game/performance last season... But, IMO, the hype turned out to be just hype.. period. I lost majority of my excitement for his "explosive game" and his ala-Johnny-A skills, but I haven't lost hope yet.

About Joescoundrel's post, twas very well said. Kaso graduating na ata si JM, tama ba? so 1 year nalang cya?

tama nga. nagimprove na sobra ang laro ni roi sumang and he will be the next superstar. sobrang bawas nadin ung mga turnover nia and mataas na basketball IQ nia. intayin lng natin nxt season at pwede n cyang maging go-to guy ng ue.

Well, Sumang's hype started two years ago. With someone calling him the next Johnny Abarrientos If I remember it correctly.

He has been in the Team B for the longest time kaya gigil na gigil na maglaro yan kung hindi lang nainjured twice.

He has the skills and the hops plus the heart.

All he needs is that reliable center that he can drop-pass when he slice the middle. Kailangan din nya ng support.

We never heard of a team na nagchampion because ng magaling na point-guard. But we heard of champion teams na dinala ng isang magaling na big man o ng isang magaling na forward.

For example: Jervy Cruz and the 2006 Champion UST Team and of course the last UE Champion team with Allan Caidic and Jerry Codienera at the helm.

Siguro this coming season matured na sya.

About Nikee Montalvo, he is a very promising player.

Very Happy

That's the way he was being managed. Star power kaagad. “@jayr_emlanoCPA: @NoliEala handlers!? What the?! Showbiz? LOL!”

1. Sarej Almejrab
2. Rustan Bugarin
3. Ivan Hernandez
4. Rom Mangalino

Matatangkad na yan eh, hasain lang talaga yung skills at palakihin pa yung katawan.

You can't teach height ika nga.
